About Us

The British - Bulgarian Information and Language Centre was opened in 1994 as a cultural and information centre of the BBC. It offers visitors information and language services and a chance to sample a wide range of BBC and other products.For the past 12 years the British - Bulgarian Information and Language Centre  has gained a reputable place in the cultural life of Bulgaria.Here are some projects jointly done with other institutions in the country:

• Muzzy's Friends in Bulgaria
• English One to One - new European initiative
• Look Ahead - a multimedia ELT project
• ELT courses for journalists
• Creating a Positive Image of the Minorities in Bulgaria - professional training for journalists

Language courses

The British-Bulgaria Information and Language Centre offers a series of courses for learners of English.

The  Centre provides:

• High quality teaching
• Excellent learning materials
• Advanced equipment and facilities

Membership

Every visitor can become a member of the British-Bulgarian Information and Language Centre against a membership fee.

The Centre members can use self-study BBC materials, the BBC videos, DVDs, audio cassettes and CDs/CD-Roms on the premises, or borrow them for home use at a daily rent.

On sale are books, video and audio cassettes, CDs, DVDs and English teaching materials.
